Navigator Homes of Martha’s Vineyard Ribbon-Cutting

EDGARTOWN  — On June 24th, Dellbrook joined LWDA Design, public officials, project partners, and Edgartown residents in celebrating the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Navigator Homes of Martha’s Vineyard, a new and affordable senior-living community offering 24/7 skilled nursing care. 

Providing a unique approach to traditional nursing homes, this new 26-acre community will bring five small houses clustered around an outdoor garden. Housing a total of 70 seniors, each 11,500 square foot building will house 14 residents in private rooms with designated bathrooms. A shared kitchen, dining area, living area, common area are also provided within each structure. 

Navigator Homes of Martha’s Vineyard represents a major milestone in the island’s efforts to address the critical need for affordable elder care. Seniors now benefit from 24/7 nursing care without having to leave the island.
